Today I was all set to make a mirthful post about something stupid and funny. Instead I'm pissed off. Four more years of that corrupt asshole Rod Blagojevich, Nancy Pelosi is two heartbeats away from the presidency, the Chicago Democrats have their machine in full swing, and I won't even get to watch Donald Rumsfeld tear apart reporters.

Gentlemen, it seems the news these days is nothing but a series of emerging conflicts. In light of this I offer some light reading and a bit of food for thought.

For many years I've particularly enjoyed the HL Mencken quote:

"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats."

For me, this line is a truth of life. At times we all go on the warpath, so I'm creating this Blog to do just that from time to time. what follows will be a collection of rants, absurdities, and more often than not, a heaping helping of whatever strikes me as worth the time to post.
